Fitness challenge conducted

How fit are you physically? The answer for that was obtained, thanks to Indian Coast Guard that conducted fitness challenge on the premises of VIT University in Chennai on 27 January. The big event was organised to mark the 43rd Coast Guard Raising Day celebrations.
The objective behind it was to pread awareness about sports and fitness amongst public and was designed in an innovative manner to involve all participants in adventure, fitness and sports activity throughout the day. 
The event had five category of participants including corporate, college boys, college girls, armed forces and individual registration. The event witnessed overwhelming response with forty teams and more than three hundred individual participants took part in the fitness challenge.
The atmosphere wore a colourful look as live band, food stalls and rest area was arranged at the venue to entertain the participants. Fitness chain F-45 and Decathlon were organizing partners for the event. The management and students of VIT assisted the Coast Guard team in coordinating the event.
The event commenced at 0830 hrs and finals were held at 1600 hrs followed by prize distribution ceremony.  ADGP C Sylendra Babu was the chief guest and Inspector General   S Paramesh, Commander, Coast Guard Region (East) and G V Selvam VP, VIT Chennai graced the finals and the prize distribution ceremony
