The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) JodIIT Jodhpur Celebrates Academic Excellence as Over 1,400 Ghpur is set to celebrate a significant academic milestone with its 12th Convocation Ceremony on June 6, 2026. A total of 1,442 students will be awarded degrees across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, dual-degree, diploma, and certificate programmes, marking the culmination of years of academic dedication, innovation, and research.
The grand convocation will be held in three phases throughout the day, bringing together distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, students, parents, alumni, industry leaders, and policymakers to honor the achievements of the graduating class.
Three-Phase Convocation to Feature Eminent National Leaders and Academicians
IIT Jodhpur’s 12th Convocation Ceremony will be conducted across three sessions, each recognizing students from different academic programmes.
Postgraduate Convocation Ceremony – 9:00 AM
The day will begin with the Postgraduate Convocation Ceremony, featuring:
- Chief Guest: Dr. S. Somanath, Former Chairman, ISRO
- Guest of Honour: Shri Neelkanth Mishra, Chairperson, UIDAI, Government of India
Undergraduate Convocation Ceremony – 2:00 PM
The Undergraduate Convocation Ceremony will be attended by:
- Chief Guest: Dr. Ajay Kumar, Chairman, UPSC
- Guest of Honour: Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director, IISc Bengaluru
Executive Students Commencement Ceremony – 6:00 PM
The celebrations will conclude with the Commencement Ceremony for Executive Students, featuring:
- Chief Guest: Shri Rajeev Kumar Sharma (IPS), Director General of Police, Rajasthan
- Guest of Honour: Shri Sharat Kaviraj (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Jodhpur
All three ceremonies will be presided over by Shri A. S. Kiran Kumar, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Jodhpur, while Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal, Director, IIT Jodhpur, will deliver the welcome address.
