Goa Institute of Management (GIM), one of India’s leading business schools, has officially welcomed 685 students to its Batch of 2026–28 through a comprehensive induction programme designed to prepare future managers for an evolving business landscape shaped by technology, sustainability, and responsible leadership.
The new cohort comprises students enrolled across GIM’s four flagship management programmes:
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) – 304 students
- PGDM in Big Data Analytics (BDA) – 150 students
- PGDM in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services (BIFS) – 124 students
- PGDM in Healthcare Management (HCM) – 107 students
Building Future-Ready Business Leaders
Addressing the incoming batch, Prof. Ajit Parulekar, Director, GIM, highlighted the institute’s commitment to nurturing leaders who combine technological expertise with strong ethical values.
“Management education must go beyond functional expertise to nurture ethical leadership and a deep understanding of the societal impact of business decisions. As emerging technologies transform industries, our focus remains on developing future-ready leaders who can combine technological competence with human values and purpose,” he said.
The induction ceremony was attended by senior academic leaders, including Dr. Naga Venkatesh Devaguptapu, Dean – Academics; Dr. Manas Mayur, Programme Chairperson; Prof. Shawnn Coutinho, Placement Chairperson; and other faculty members.

Students were also introduced to entrepreneurship and innovation opportunities available through GIM’s Atal Incubation Centre, which supports aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming ideas into scalable ventures.
