It was an ideal platform to bring out the mathematical ability in the children. And, little ones did not stay behind in putting their mathematical abilities to use to come out victorious.

This stood true with regards to SIP All India Arithmetic Genius Contest 2019 held in Chennai recently. It was the fourth edition of the contest and was held for school students studying in class two to four. More than 350,000 children from more than 750 schools across the nation took part in the competition.

The 4-tier contest, with school round, city round, state round and the national final round, helped in building a solid foundation in the basics of arithmetic and also fostering the competitive spirit in children.

Over 180 students from 23 states qualified for the national finals and the winners of the contest from each class were titled the ‘Arithmetic Genius’ of 2019 apart from getting a cash award of Rs. 25,000 each.

The second and third prize winners were given cash awards of Rs.15,000 and Rs.10,000. Mr. Dinesh Victor, managing director, SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd. said they are happy to present an opportunity for young children to build a solid foundation in the basics of mathematics and win early recognition for their talents.

‘I would also like to laud the children for their enthusiastic participation in overwhelming numbers as well as quality which has made this event a very important one for them to look forward to.’
