GIFTING THE JOY OF FLYING Flight of Fantasy

Underprivileged Children of corporation and panchayat schools from outskirts of Madurai were gifted the dream of flying and riding the metro train, here in Chennai, on Sunday the 16th June 2019.
Flight of Fantasy, as it was called, was a community service initiative conducted by Madras West Round Table 10of Chennai, in association with MCRT99 of Madurai. Multiple such initiatives are being conducted across the country between different cities to inspire these Children from weaker sections to study harder and earn a better life, says Mr. Vikash Nahar, Chairman MWRT10.
During their maiden trip to chennai the children were given real life experience of traveling via aircraft, riding the metro rail, followed by an educational tour of Periyar Science and Technology Centre, a space show at Birla Planetarium followed by a 3D show. The children were also show live demonstration of a 3D printer and inspired by the Tamil Hit Movie KaakaMuttai were also given taste of Pizza’s for lunch which most of them enjoyed to their heart’s content.
We hope to do more of such programs in the coming years and hopefully with bigger audience to gift the joy of flying to as many as possible. The Airport director Madurai, Manager of Birla Planetarium, Flight captain of Spice jet and many other officials blessed the children towards a brighter career and commended the initiative taken by Madras West Round Table 10, Chennai and MCRT99 Madurai.
