The Fourth Rail Line between Manmad and Jalgaon will improve Mumbai.-Howrah Connectivity

Indian Railways is still essential to the development of a more powerful India. In keeping with this goal, the Central Cabinet has authorised three large-scale multi-tracking projects, such as the Manmad-Jalgaon Fourth Rail Line Project, which is expected to cost 2,773.26 crore and have a proposed length of 160 km.
By strengthening the Mumbai-Prayagraj train line, this project will increase the pace of freight and passenger traffic. It will enhance the movement of coal, iron, steel, and other necessities as a vital logistics route. Important economic hubs will be more effectively connected because to this improved logistical efficiency. The project will immediately affect areas like Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Pachora, Jamner, and Chalisgaon in Maharashtra, benefiting 421 villages and roughly 15.49 lakh people.
Along with boosting tourism by making places like Anjanabari, Ajanta, and Ellora caves more accessible, the route will also increase connectivity to important centres like Nagpur, Kolkata, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Delhi. This project is an important step in modernising India’s railway infrastructure since it would increase regional connections while also enhancing public safety, economic growth, and logistics efficiency.
