INN/Guwahati, @Infodeaofficial
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma formally introduced Mission Basundhara 3.0 on Sunday, October 20, at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati. The goal of this revolutionary project is to grant land rights to Assamese indigenous people while streamlining land revenue services through the issuance of land passbooks.
Ministers Jogen Mohan, Ranoj Pegu, Nandita Garloha, and Urkhao Gwra Brahma were among the prominent individuals present at the launch event, which was also attended by senior officials from the Revenue Department, mouzadar, Additional District Commissioners (ADCs), District Commissioners (DCs), and village leaders.
The only people who can receive services under Mission Basundhara are those who were born before 1951 and can provide proof of three generations. However, as they are exempt from having to provide documentation of three generations, this rule will not apply to members of the ST, SC, Tea Tribes, Adivasis, Gorkhas, etc. Furthermore, people with current refugee credentials issued prior to 1971 will be qualified for the services.
Following the completion of Mission Basundhara 3.0, building residences on tea estate property will be forbidden, and violators will face legal action. Compared to earlier iterations, Mission Basundhara 3.0 offers more accessibility and new improvements. Notably, applicants who had their applications denied under version 2.0 now have the option to reapply.
