Bharatiya Idea of Development is Holistic and in Cooperation with Nature: Mohan Bhagwat
INN/New Delhi, @Infodeaofficial
Bharatiya idea of development is holistic and works in synergy with nature, however, the western idea of development is based on winning over the nature. Therefore, the western models of development have immensely damaged nature and environment. We need to develop our own models of development which the world could follow. These views were expressed by Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Education is essential for development, but it must be centred on Bharat. We should be open to good ideas from around the globe, but we should never follow them mindlessly. Teachers have an obligation to mentor scholars conducting research based on the Bharatiya knowledge system, Dr. Bhagwat stated. He was addressing the first session of the three-day National Researchers Conference, “VIVIBHA-2024: Vision for Viksit Bharat,” which was hosted today at SGT University in Gurugram by “Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal-Uva Aayam.” Young researchers from different institutions around the nation were educated on research for achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by Nobel Laureate Dr. Kailash Satyarthi, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Dr. S. Somanath, and other dignitaries.
Speaking to the audience, Dr. S. Somanath stated that the country’s transition to “Viksit Bharat” makes the next 25 years crucial. “In addition to many other areas, research improves the capacity and capability of industries, start-ups, academia, agriculture, and the health sector, making it crucial to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat,” he stated. According to Dr. Somanath, it is necessary to link science and technology research and innovation across many industries. “We have touched the Moon and further we want to have missions on Mars, Venus, and other planets in the future,” Dr. Somanath stated when outlining ISRO’s ambitions.
“This conference is initiation of a yajna that will enlighten the whole world,” Nobel Laureate Dr. Kailash Satyarthi said, praising BSM-Yuva Aayam’s efforts in organising the successful VIVIBHA 2024 event. According to him, we ought to adopt the Indian conception of development, which encompasses universal, communal, and personal growth. He declared, “We should find a model of development that includes both individual and universal aspirations of development.”
Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Akhil Bhartiya Adhyaksh, and Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal expressed their opinions on this occasion and encouraged the young researchers to do everything in their power to turn Bharat into a Vishwa Guru via inventions and research. Vice-chancellors of a number of universities, heads of institutions, professors, researchers, and Dr. Bharat Sharan Singh, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission, were in attendance, along with Padmashree Ram Bahadur Rai, President of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and Chancellor of SGT University.
Several government and private universities, educational institutions, research organisations, etc., have displayed their research and innovations on the themes of Bharatiya Education, Vision for Viksit Bharat, and Future Technology in an extensive exhibition that was opened during the inaugural ceremony. From the earliest Gurukuls to the latest technological advancements, as well as from the weapons and accessories of Chatrapati Shivaji’s time to the Indian Air Force’s BrahMos, this museum showcases the development of Bharatiya education.
With its focus on “Research to Realisation,” the three-day National Researchers Conference, which took place from November 15–17, 2024, represents a major milestone in realising the goal of Viksit Bharat. For the advantage of researchers, this conference will have 11 parallel sessions and six plenary sessions. Selected scholars will be offered distinguished internships at “Institutes of National Importance” and possibilities for academic publications at the conclusion of the three-day conference.
In the run up to the preparations of VIVIBHA 2024, the BSM-Yuva Aayam reached over 10 lakh students and researchers and over one lakh teachers/ educationists of about 10,000 educational institutions in the past one year. BSM-Yuva Aayam also organized a “Research Paper Writing Competition” in which 1,68,771 students registered. After evaluation by domain experts, 1200 research papers were selected from different states for participation at VIVIBHA 2024. The students whose research papers were selected at the state level were conferred with certificates.
