In an arena polo test match, the Indian Army defeats the US Military

In a fiercely contested test match at the Lakeside Polo Club, the Indian Army Arena Polo team defeated the US Military squad with remarkable talent and perseverance. The Indian squad, which consisted of Lt Col Prithvi Singh, Lt Col Yatinder Kumar, Maj Mrityunjay Singh, and Lt Col RK Gautam, won 13–10 in the end.

Maj Mrityunjay Singh suffered an injury in the second chukker, but he persevered till the fourth chukker, showing incredible fortitude, before Lt Col RK Gautam replaced him.

The USPA authorities and US military players praised the Indian Army officers for their horsemanship, and they did not only perform exceptionally well on the pitch but also represented their organisation with honour and good sportsmanship. The Indian Army team is playing its first international match since 2019, and they have fared better than their organisation had anticipated.
