Gagan Gowda Holds His Ground as UP Yoddhas Overcomes Telugu Titans in a Tight Match

The Telugu Titans and UP Yoddhas engaged in a thrilling match in Match 91 of PKL Season 11 at the Balewadi Sports Complex’s badminton hall. The game was won by the UP Yoddhas with a score of 36–33 after they stormed back from a halftime deficit. Gagan Gowda scored 15 points for the UP Yoddhas, and Bhavani Rajput contributed another 6.

Despite a sluggish start to the match, the Telugu Titans took an early lead thanks to goals from Vijay Malik and Ashish Narwal. The Telugu Titans appeared to be a strong defensive team in the early going, and the raiders were contributing with prompt and effective raids.

In the eighth minute of the match, the Telugu Titans gave the UP Yoddhas an ALL OUT, demonstrating that their early dominance had paid off. That placed them in the lead halfway through the first half and gave them a 6-point advantage. However, Vijay Malik, Ashish Narwal, and Sagar had other ideas. Following that, Hitesh and Bhavani Rajput, among others, wanted to spearhead the UP Yoddhas’ comeback. The Telugu Titans were gaining ground on the UP Yoddhas as the first half went on, and they were difficult to beat. In the second half, Gagan Gowda made an impression with a series of fast raids, and the UP Yoddhas got off to a faster start than their rivals. They cut the lead to two points after scoring the first five points of the half. The Telugu Titans were given an ALL OUT by the UP Yoddhas in the sixth minute of the half, and they quickly took the lead. The UP Yoddhas had the upper hand, and their aggressive strategy demonstrated their desire to extend their lead.

With three points ahead at the break, the UP Yoddhas were clearly ahead. The Telugu Titans had already scored two goals in the opening ten minutes of the half, but the UP Yoddhas had turned the tide of the match by scoring twelve points of their own.

The UP Yoddhas took a 6-point advantage shortly after Gagan Gowda recorded his Super 10 and made a three-point raid with seven minutes remaining. Before Manjeet came through with a six-point raid to pull his team back into the game, the Telugu Titans were on the verge of losing. Additionally, it is the most points scored in a single raid this season.

In what was becoming an extremely thrilling match, the Telugu Titans scored an ALL OUT on the UP Yoddhas in the last few minutes, giving them a little advantage. However, the UP Yoddhas managed to get back again, and Vijay Malik’s out-of-bounds play on the mat put them in a box seat. The UP Yoddhas eventually won by a slim margin after scoring a few more points in the closing seconds of play.
