After defeating Hambantota Bangla Tigers by 39 runs in Qualifier 1 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on December 18, 2024, Jaffna Titans proceeded to the Lanka T10 Super League final. Titans, who have been dominating the tournament, scored an overwhelming 124/5 in 10 overs.
Kusal Mendis, the opener and wicketkeeper, contributed with 47 off 25, a knock that featured two fours and four maximums. Mendis displayed class with the bat. In addition to him, retired injured player Tom Abell contributed with 23 off 12, while captain David Wiese stayed undefeated with 18 off 5.
In response, the Hambantota Bangla Tigers were forced to chase after losing early wickets. They were eventually bowled out for 85 after being reduced to 54/6. Treveen Mathew, a young spinner from Sri Lanka who has garnered attention for his outstanding bowling throughout the campaign, came back with a four-wicket haul for 13 runs in two overs.
