In Show of Strength, Opposition Leaders Likely to Attend Meet Called by Sonia Gandhi

Several opposition leaders, chief ministers of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand, and Congress-managed states are probably going to go to a virtual gathering assembled by Congress president Sonia Gandhi on August 20, sources said. Sonia Gandhi has sent welcomes to heads of similar gatherings in a bid to fashion solidarity and a joint resistance procedure on major problems before the country.
The resistance groups are attempting to set up a unified face in its battle against the BJP and Narendra Modi government at the Center over a few issues, including the Pegasus sneaking around the line and ranchers’ tumult. Resistance solidarity was seen during the new Monsoon Session of Parliament where a few chiefs held gatherings which were additionally gone to by Congress pioneer Rahul Gandhi.
