Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu released SRM Founder Chancellor Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar’s anthology of poetry

An anthology of poems penned by the Founder Chancellor of SRM Group of Educational Institutions, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar was released and launched in a grand event at the Ramada Plaza, Chennai which was attended by a large number of poets, scholars and enthusiasts.
The event started with the welcome address of Dr. R. Balasubramanian, President of Tamil Perayam and Pro VC of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. He pointed out that there was yet another facet to Dr. Paarivendhar that has not yet been well known – his fascination and passion for Tamil poetry from a very early young age. “Dr. Paarivendhar is not just an academic, educationist, philanthropist, social activist and social reformer. He is a poet as well who has penned on a number of themes”
The Founder Chancellor’s anthology of poetry was released by the renowned Padma Bhushan Shri Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu and the first copy was received by yet another renowned poet Shri Arivumadhi.
With Dr. Silamboli S. Chellappan gracing the occasion many eminent scholars felicitated Dr. Paari Vendhar on the launch of his book. In his own intricate and analytical manner, Shri Vairamuthu lavished praise on the different aspects of Dr. Paarivendhar’s poetry besides taking note of the generosity of the Founder Chancellor, not just in an academic context but his overall concern for the welfare of the disadvantaged sections of society.
In his address and in his own poetic fashion, Dr. Paarivendhar spoke of his varied inspirations to write poems and expressed his gratitude to Shri Vairamuthu, Shri Arivumadhi , Shri Silamboli Chellappan and other distinguished guests of honor.
Mr. Ravi Pachamoothoo, Chairman SRM group of Institutions made his gracious presence during the event and he thanked all the poets, scholars and enthusiasts for their support in making the event a grand success.
Compeered by the Secretary of Tamil Perayam, Dr. B. Jaiganesh the book release function ended with a vote of thanks by the Co-ordinator of Tamil Perayam, Mr. Mathiyazhagan. Senior administrators, teaching and non-teaching staff and students of SRMIST participated in the event.
