SANJAI GANDHI RECEIVES THE NATIONAL IP AWARD’18

The Indian Intellectual Property Office confers National Intellectual Property (IP) Awards on outstanding innovators, organizations and companies in the fields of patents, designs, trademarks and geographical indications on the occasion of World IP Day every year.

To a good note, P. Sanjai Gandhi was selected as a winner of National Intellectual Property (IP) Award for the year 2018 in the category “Best Facilitation of Registration of GI and Promotion of Registered GI in the country V’. Om Prakash Gupta, IAS controller General of patents, designs and Trademarks and Registrar of Geographical Indications personally, as well as on behalf of the Indian Intellectual Property Office, congratulated Sanjai Gandhi and his organization for winning the award.

The award was given on 26th April, 2018 by Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of               India, at a function jointly organized by Indian Intellectual Property Office and Confederation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Cll) at Sovereign Hall, Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. Sanjai Gandhi was rewarded Rs. 1,00,000/-, citation and memento.

Mr. Sanjai Gandhi is a leading IP practitioner with 17 years of experience. He has been a representative of various organizations since the year 2000 and has assisted them in GI registration, litigation and enforcement. He has been instrumental in facilitating the registration of about 15 GI goods.
