India-United States Strategic Partnership Forum Leaders from many industries came together for the India Leadership Summit 2024, which promoted more business-government cooperation and strengthened public-private collaborations between the US and India.
Prominent speakers at the India Leadership Summit 2024 included Dharmendra Pradhan, India’s Minister of Education.
Minister Pradhan outlined India’s accomplishments throughout the last four years since the National Education Policy (NEP)2020 went into effect. He underlined that in order to improve students’ employability, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed a higher priority on skill development than degrees.
In addition, he mentioned how NEP 2020 has opened doors for collaborations with cutting-edge industries, answering the requirement for flexibility in the face of disruptive technology. He went on to discuss NEP 2020’s emphasis on multilingualism and how adding more languages to the curriculum could increase India’s literacy rates. The goal of multilingualism in NEP is to increase accessibility to education nationwide and to give students from a variety of backgrounds more authority.
With more than 400 international businesses in its vast network, USISPF is still a bridge that connects the public and private sectors in both economies. The US-India relationship seeks to leverage common objectives in the fields of education, technology, and sustainable development through talks like the ones held at today’s summit, paving the way for a better future for both countries.
