Vice President Duterte of the Philippines is facing a second impeachment charge

Sara Duterte, the vice president of the Philippines, was the target of a second impeachment allegation on Wednesday for allegedly misusing public funds and failing to defend her budget in front of Congress.

Leftist organisations filed the complaint at the House of Representatives, adding to the growing number of charges and investigations against Duterte after she threatened last month to have her own murder result in the assassination of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., his wife, and his cousin, the speaker of the House.

Due of her threat, law enforcement is looking into Duterte for potential criminal charges. Due to recent events at a hospital and in the lower chamber of Congress, Philippine police have already formally filed a criminal complaint against her for assault, disobedience, and coercion. She denies any misconduct.
