INN/New Delhi, @Infodeaofficial

Operation Brahma was started by the Indian government to provide aid to Myanmar following the deadly earthquake that struck Thailand and Myanmar on March 28, 2025. The Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, and NDRF are working together to advance the MEA-led HADR operations.

As part of the Indian Navy’s prompt reaction to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR), the Eastern Naval Command ships Satpura and Savitri set sail for Yangon on March 29, 2025. Furthermore, on March 30, 2025, the Andaman and Nicobar Command’s Indian Navy Ships Karmuk and LCU 52 will set sail for Yangon in order to support the HADR operations.

These ships have carried about 52 tons of relief supplies, including HADR pallets filled with food, medicine, drinking water, emergency supplies, and necessary apparel. Remaining the ‘First Responder’ in the region is a commitment made by the Indian Navy.
