Raksha Mantri underlined how solid the India-Russian relationship is and how it has fulfilled the obligations of a unique and privileged strategic alliance. He continued by saying that recent exchanges, such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two trips to Russia in 2024, have further reinforced the ties.

Rajnath Singh expressed the Government of India’s resolve to increase the local defence industry’s capabilities across industries and areas. He emphasised fresh chances to boost Russian industry involvement in “Make in India” initiatives. India’s commitment to a Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership with Russia was reaffirmed by him.

The Russian Defence Minister placed a strong focus on strengthening the mutually trusting relationship between the two nations. He complimented Raksha Mantri on INS Tushil’s commissioning. Minister Belousov was invited by Rajnath Singh to come to India in 2025 to co-chair the 22nd IRIGC-M&MTC conference. They accepted the invitation.

The protocol of the 21st IRIGC-M&MTC meeting, which highlighted the current and future areas of collaboration, was signed by the two ministers at the end. Raksha Mantri toured the Guard of Honour at the Russian Defence Ministry in Central Moscow before the meeting. He had previously put a wreath at Moscow’s “The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier” in remembrance of the Soviet soldiers who lost their lives in World War II.
