Madhya Pradesh is renowned for both its breathtaking scenery and its rich cultural legacy. Many French tourists travel to Bhedaghat, Sanchi, Bhimbetka, and Khajuraho, making them prominent tourist destinations in France. The state plans to improve its tourism relationship with France. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and the French Embassy will collaborate to promote cultural and tourism-related projects.
Mr. Jean Marc Sere Charlet, the French Consul General in Mumbai, made these remarks. At the Tourism Board headquarters, Mr. Mark met Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, and they talked about the potential for fostering collaboration between Madhya Pradesh and France on a number of topics related to the culture and tourism industries.
Along with him were Mrs. Emilie Jacament, Coordinator of the Alliance Française’s Network in India, Mr. Gregor Trumel, Director of the French Institute in India, Counsellor for Education, Science, and Culture, and other Tourism Board representatives. During the conversation, topics such as providing prominent advertising for India’s tourist spots, training state guides in French, and providing French artists with the chance to appear at state cultural events in France were covered.
With the assistance of the French Embassy, Madhya Pradesh’s guides will receive French language training, according to Additional Managing Director Ms. Mukherjee. This will enable them to more easily guide and facilitate the travel of French tourists. As of right now, the Tourism Board has trained 19 guides in French.
Going a step further, the Embassy will endeavour to improve the French language proficiency of front desk managers, receptionists, and other recipients employed by the Tourism Department’s hotels and resorts. French filmmakers and producers were asked by Ms. Mukherjee to shoot a movie in Madhya Pradesh.
She further mentioned that Madhya Pradesh artists will participate in the cultural events held in France and that French artists will be invited to important events held in Madhya Pradesh. By doing this, Madhya Pradesh’s tourist destinations will be made more diverse and appealing to French visitors, increasing the likelihood that French tourism will flourish.
