According to Brand Finance’s “2024 Global City Index,” Dubai has risen to the top of the Middle East and Africa rankings, holding the top spot for the second year in a row. Additionally, the city surpassed global powerhouses like Singapore, Los Angeles, Sydney, San Francisco, and Amsterdam to take fifth place worldwide.
Dubai ranked #1 in the survey, surpassing Sydney and London, and was praised for its international reputation. Additionally, it rose sharply from 24th to 4th place in terms of local and remote job opportunities. Due to its strong economy and important location as a hub for international trade, the city was recognised as having the second-best worldwide relevance.
With an overall score of 86 out of 100, Dubai’s performance on all important metrics demonstrates its strategic vision and economic strength. Dubai’s Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, credited Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, with this achievement. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that the accomplishments are in line with Dubai Plan 2030, which aims to increase the emirate’s competitiveness on a worldwide scale.
Dubai’s standing as the top investment destination has been further strengthened by its aggressive corporate tax laws and forward-thinking projects. The emirate’s leadership in the Middle East and North Africa is further supported by its excellent educational system, connectivity, and easily accessible visa policies, all of which add to its allure.
