The Sindhi Hindu Mandal held a free eye exam and cataract surgery camp

The Sindhi Hindu Mandal Association has been actively involved in several projects for the poor for the past 60 years. In order to carry on this rich history, we have organised an eye screening and free cataract surgery camp on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at The Sindhi Hindu Mandal Association on Halls Road, Egmore.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Girish Sivan Rao, President of the Medical Research Foundation. The programme was a huge success, with 80 individuals having complete screenings, 25 of whom were identified with cataracts and immediately referred to Shankara Netralaya Alandur for surgical intervention.

President Choithram Rohira welcomed everyone, Secretary Manoj Sujanani acknowledged the chief guest, Secretary for Relief Manoj Kriplani spoke about the history of the Sindhi Hindu mandal, and Camp conveyor Deepak Chhabria thanked everyone for coming.
