The goal of “PM-ABHIM” is to enhance India’s public health system: Health Minister

According to Indian Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, the Pradhan Mantri-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) seeks to improve the nation’s public health infrastructure and the provision of healthcare services.

Nadda stated that the program’s goal is to deliver high-quality primary, intermediate, and tertiary healthcare services in response to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha today. According to him, the mission’s operations include developing almost 18,000 buildingless sub-centers as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and establishing about 11,000 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in urban areas, with a concentration on slums and regions that resemble slums.

According to Nadda, the mission also intends to build 602 Critical Care Blocks, 730 Integrated Public Health Labs, and more than 3,300 Block Public Health Units at the block level. According to him, the PM-ABHIM, or PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, is a centrally funded program with a total budget of more than 64 thousand crore rupees.
