Today in Hyderabad, President Droupadi Murmu graced the first session of LokManthan-2024. Those in attendance at the inaugural event included State Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, State Minister Seethakka, and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagavath.
Speaking at the event, the President underlined the need of strengthening India’s priceless traditions and ensuring that all citizens are aware of its rich cultural and intellectual legacy. India’s variety, she claimed, adds a rainbow of beauty to our underlying unity. The President stated that the citizens who possess the spirit of Indianness have maintained the flame of national unity despite decades of attempts to weaken and split our community.
Droupadi Murmu claimed that for ages, colonial powers and imperialism attempted to damage India’s social fabric in addition to taking advantage of it economically. The President claimed that our population had fallen prey to the mindset of slavery as a result of decades of oppression.
Murmu emphasised that in order to make India a developed country, the people must be instilled with the notion of “Nation First.” The fact that LokManthan is propagating this sentiment pleased her. The President later concluded her two-day tour to Telangana and departed for Delhi. At the Begumpet airport, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said goodbye to Murmu.
