Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign and Swachh Bharat Diwas, 2024

In keeping with the Government of India’s “Swachh Bharat Diwas 2024” and “Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024” campaigns, the CSIR – Structural Engineering Research Centre and CSIR Madras Complex have arranged a series of events to incorporate cleanliness into everyday life at the CSIR Campus between September 14, 2024, and October 2, 2024.
Many employees enthusiastically participated in the Swachhata Pledge, which was administered on September 20, 2024, in the vicinity of Viqvan Auditorium by the Director of SERC and the Coordinating Director of CMC.
The CSIR – Structural Engineering Research Centre and CSIR Madras Complex have organised a series of events to incorporate cleanliness into everyday life at the CSIR Campus between September 14, 2024, and October 2, 2024, in keeping with the Government of India’s “Swachh Bharat Diwas 2024” and “Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024” campaigns.
The Swachhata Pledge was administered by the Director of SERC and the Coordinating Director of CMC on September 20, 2024, in the neighbourhood of Viqvan Auditorium, to a boisterous group of employees.
Staff Members’ Internal Poster Competitions were held on September 30, 2024. To improve the cleanliness of the area around Thiruvanmiyur Railway Station (MRTS), staff members from CSIR-SERC and CMC conducted a cleanliness blitz on October 1, 2024.
Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated on Shramdhan Day on October 2, 2024. a floral tribute to the Mahatma Gandhi image given by the CSIR-SERC and CMC staff and director. During the ceremony, all the staff members voluntarily involved in the physical labour of moving tonnes of earth in the campus and planting trees. The “Swachhata Shapath” (Pledge) was made as a part of the Cleanliness Program.
