Because the rapid advancement of human civilisation can only be facilitated by waterways, we must utilise our natural resources in conjunction with 21st-century scientific methods. In light of this profound insight, we have initiated the Cruise Bharat Mission.

Launching the Cruise Bharat campaign, Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also inked Memorandums of Understanding on a number of sustainability initiatives with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai Port Authority, and Mumbai Port Sustainability Foundation. agreements between MPA and IPA, MPA and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, and the introduction of the Mumbai Port Authority’s diversity, equity, and inclusion policy as well as the green port certification program.

The number of passengers on cruises would rise to up to 50 lakh by 2047. We promise to meet every need for excellent infrastructure for it. Water has the capacity to bring forth peace, wealth, and growth; thus, we must respect nature. Travelling along waterways is a method to do just that while also taking in the beauty of the planet.
