foodborne illness in a Telangana government school

Nearly 21 pupils in the Narayanpet district of Telangana became ill on Tuesday in yet another case of food poisoning in a government-run school. The most recent incident at Maganoor Zilla Parishad High School has been reported. After eating the midday meals, pupils reported experiencing diarrhoea and vomiting. They were sent immediately to Maganoor’s Government Hospital.
In less than a week, this is the second incident at the same school. After eating the midday meal that was provided to them on November 20, over fifty kids had become ill. In recent months, the state has witnessed a number of these events in government-run schools, particularly in residential schools and hostels. Nearly a month after becoming seriously ill from food poisoning, a 16-year-old pupil at a tribal welfare residential school passed away on Monday.
KT Rama Rao, a former minister and working president of the BRS, has called for the state government to be held accountable for the Gurukul kids’ murders. CM Revanth Reddy, according to KTR, hasn’t even reviewed the circumstances in Gurukuls. “During the assembly sessions, the party will question the government about the current situation in Gurukuls,” KTR stated.
According to Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Telangana government schoolchildren continue to consume poison on their plates. “Food poisoning is still a bitter legacy, from BRS to Congress.” Congress claimed to have brought about change, but the situation of the children has not changed—only the ruling party has. “This is a betrayal of trust, not just a failure,” he stated in a “X” message. Congress simply inherited the BRS’s incapacity.
In the article, he said, “Are our children doomed to suffer because neither the BRS nor the Congress governments have the fundamental ability to provide safe food?” The Minister added, “How can Congress claim to be the state’s leader if it is unable to fulfil even this most fundamental duty?
