At Serchhip College, the PM DevINE-funded 3D dental laboratory is officially opened by Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma

Today, Chief Minister of Mizoram Pu Lalduhoma, with funding from the PM DevINE program, opened the state-of-the-art 3D Dental Laboratory Serchhip College. The purpose of this large extension is to provide dental care in the area, especially for those who need dentures. The Serchhip DC Conference Hall hosted the inaugural event, which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Pu Paul L. Khuma.
The Chief Minister thanked everyone participating in the project and emphasised how convenient the laboratory will be for the people living in the area. Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma declared, “This facility represents a leap forward in healthcare accessibility.” “The laboratory is part of a larger plan to establish comparable facilities throughout the northeastern states, connected by AMTRON from Guwahati, in addition to serving Serchhip. For our state, we are enthusiastic about the use of 5G connectivity in telemedicine and other health technologies in the future,” he continued.
To improve patient care even more, the Chief Minister also launched a drip monitoring system and a mobile ECG device at the district hospital.
He reported that the new hospital’s development was going well and was being funded with a total of Rs. 71 Crore, of which Rs. 21 Crore came from PGCIL.
In addition, 15 Serchhip youngsters who had just finished a 45-day training program in the hospitality industry at IHM Delhi as part of the NEC digital tourism initiative were given certificates at the ceremony.
Pu Ashish Anand, Advisor to AMTRON, gave a technical overview of the potential of 3D and 5G technologies. Dr. A.S. Lorho S Pfoze, former Vice Chairman of the NE MPs Forum, and Pi Sherry Lalthangzo, Economic Adviser to NEC, also spoke to the group.
Pu In his introduction to the event, Paul L. Khuma, Deputy Commissioner, Serchhip, emphasised the significance of these developments in advancing healthcare and education in the area.
