At Raj Bhavan, Nagaland and Assam commemorated their formation day

As part of the “Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat” program, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer served as the Chief Guest at the Nagaland and Assam States’ Formation Day festivities, which were held on Monday at Durbar Hall at Raj Bhavan here.Governor Abdul Nazeer spoke on the occasion, stating that Nagaland, which celebrated its Formation Day on December 1st, is a unique state in the nation since it is home to 17 different tribes, each of which has its own customs, language, and attire. According to him, Nagaland’s rich culture, way of life, and culinary customs are reflected in the Hornbill celebration, also called the celebration of Festivals.

The governor stated that the Bihu festival is the first thing that springs to mind when discussing Assamese culture, and that the state is decked up in gorgeous, lush vegetation for its Formation Day celebration on December 2. He added that by allowing us to exchange knowledge about the customs, traditions, and culture of various States and Union Territories, the “Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat” program strengthens the unity and integrity of India by fostering a deeper understanding and bond between the States.

Students from SIMS Guntur and Vignan University performed songs and folk dances from Assam and Nagaland after the program began with video messages from La Ganeshan, the governor of Nagaland, and Lakshman Prasad Acharya, the governor of Assam. The function was attended by Nagaland and Assamese students enrolled in educational institutions in and around Vijayawada, Dr. M. Hari Jawaharlal, the Secretary to the Governor, and Raj Bhavan officers and staff.
