Armed Forces Must Adjust to the Changing Nature of Conflict: Draupadi Murmu

At a distinguished President’s Colours ceremony held at CDM in Hyderabad today, President Draupadi Murmu exhorted the military to adjust to the constantly shifting terrain of contemporary warfare. The College of Defence Management (CDM), a vital organisation in equipping the army for contemporary warfare, received the President’s Colours as the chief guest.
President Murmu stressed in her speech the critical role the CDM plays in preparing the military to handle the demands of modern warfare. She emphasised how crucial it is for the military to always innovate and adapt in order to preserve its readiness and effectiveness.
President Murmu also unveiled a commemorative medallion, special cover, and commemorative postal stamp during the ceremony. Governor Jishnu Dev Verma of Telangana launched “Pearls of Ancient Indian Wisdom” and gave President Murmu the first copy, thereby enhancing the day’s significance.
A notable group of people, including Telangana Minister Seetakka, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, attended the occasion. The President’s Colours presentation, which honours the CDM’s outstanding achievements to national defence, is a significant event.
