Kaziranga National Park will begin its eagerly awaited elephant safari season on November 1 for the 2024–25 tourism season, after the October 1 inauguration of jeep safaris to visitors.
Visitors can take departmental elephant safaris in the Kohora range, which are arranged by the forest department. Privately owned elephants in the Bagori area, meanwhile, will provide tourists with an alternate safari experience. All of the elephants’ saddles have already been meticulously cleaned and polished as part of the preparations.
Officials claim that the elephants have undergone extensive health examinations after travelling from different regions of Assam. To make sure the animals in the Bagori range are healthy enough to serve, veterinary personnel will perform additional health examinations today. Additionally, a two-day mahout training program is planned for October 28–29 with the goal of improving guest safety and safari quality.
Both tourists and local businesses are looking forward to the elephant safari season, which will span from November 1 through April 30, 2025. Business owners, operators, and mahouts are excited about the approaching safari season and anticipate a successful season.
