Over 50,000 public officials, 1,88,266 teachers, 71 lakh parents, and 35 lakh children are taking part in the massive PTM.
Speaking on the occasion, Nara Lokesh, the education minister for Andhra Pradesh, stated: “Parent-teacher meetings are done all over the place, but ours is the biggest and most attended. We have asked that representatives from every group be there as well. The school and the parents develop a spiritual link through these gatherings. It prepares the students for their bright future. The issues facing the schools will be known through this meeting.
Parents are aware of their children’s academic progress. Students are receiving Holistic Progress Cards from us. Along with the report, we are working with the Health Department to do some tests. As a result, parents and teachers will be aware of the pupils’ health. This will contribute to the health care of youngsters.
Minister Lokesh also discussed the other projects the education department is working on. The elimination of the teachers’ non-teaching workload is the most important of these. Additionally, Minister Lokesh discussed using a massive DSC to replace the unfilled teacher positions within six months. According to Hon. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s directive, all political gatherings have been banned from schools.
Political images and colours are no longer utilised in classrooms. A total of Rs. 944 crores has been allocated for the “Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyarthi Mitra Student Kits” for students in classes 1 through 12. Under the “Dokka Seethamma Midday Meal Scheme,” the Andhra Pradesh government feeds thousands of students wholesome, tasty food while honouring regional culinary customs. Additionally, Minister Lokesh discussed the significance of teaching young kids morals, values, and ethics. In this sense, the curriculum is being updated to reflect the essential adjustments.
