A private, unaided, co-educational engineering college approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, it was established in 2001. The institution is focussed on imparting quality education to produce future engineers and leaders .

LVEC has certified courses for both U.G and P.G degree levels under various programs including four years long under graduate programmes for the degree of B.E or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology. Post Graduate degree programs of M.B.A (two years) and M.C.A (three years) are offered as well.
