Amazon India launches fifth fulfilment center in Telangana

Amazon India expanded its fulfilment network in Telangana by launching a new specialised Fulfilment Centre (FC) in Hyderabad and expanding an existing centre.

The new FC will offer quite six lakh cubic feet of storage capacity, housing a wider selection of huge appliances and furniture products. It is spread over two lakh square feet of floor area, the new FC will benefit more than 35,000 sellers in the State with access to a larger customer base.

This expansion will contribute to providing direct and indirect jobs within the State whilst ensuring seamless and faster deliveries to customers.

This expansion also marks a hike in Amazon India’s infrastructure footprint in Telangana, which now will offer a floor area on the brink of a million square feet and a storage capacity of more than five million cubic feet.

The new specialised FCs will house thousands of products such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and televisions, and products from the furniture category ahead of the upcoming festive season.

The expanded infrastructure will help us meet our customers’ growing demand for giant appliances and furniture while empowering small and medium businesses across the State. The expansion in Telangana is a part of Amazon India’s plans to extend its national storage capability by on the brink of 40%, in 2021. • Top categories include large appliances, consumer electronics, fashion, smartphones, and groceries.
• A strong delivery network with on the brink of 65 Amazon-owned and repair Partner delivery stations within the State
• 5 Fulfilment centres with quite 5 million cubic feet of space for storing.
