TRI-SERVICES EXERCISE “EX POORVI PRAHAR” IMPROVES ARUNACHAL PRADESH COLLABORATION OPERATIONAL READINESS
INN/New Delhi, @Infodeaofficial
Ex Poorvi Prahar, a high-intensity tri-services exercise, is being conducted by the Indian Army in the forward regions of Arunachal Pradesh from November 10–18, 2024. The goal of this extensive joint exercise is to improve inter-service cooperation and operational readiness by honing the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force’s combat effectiveness in carrying out Integrated Joint Operations in the region’s difficult mountainous terrain.
The exercise showcases India’s advances in modern warfare technology by bringing together a wide range of state-of-the-art military equipment and systems. Advanced fighter aircraft, reconnaissance platforms, helicopters including the Advanced Light Helicopter (Rudra) and Chinook, and recently introduced M777 Ultra-Light Howitzers are being used by participating forces from all three services. These cutting-edge resources offer a hitherto unheard-of degree of mobility, firepower, and accuracy in the difficult terrain of the area.
The incorporation of cutting-edge technology that are transforming military operations in the future is a crucial aspect of Ex Poorvi Prahar. Swarm drones, first-person view (FPV) drones, and loitering munitions are cutting-edge technology that significantly improve situational awareness, precise strikes, and operational flexibility. Troops are using these tools to practise their skills. The military’s dedication to using next-generation technology to strengthen defensive capabilities is demonstrated by the inclusion of these instruments in the exercise.
Technology Absorption and Integration
Exercise provides a forum for deeper assimilation and integration of cutting-edge technological tools and collaborative command structures that enhance interservice cooperation. Creating a Common Operating Picture (COP) through joint control structures that maximise coordination between ground, air, and naval forces is one of the exercise’s main objectives. Systems using satellite communications that are driven by AI-driven analytics allow for the seamless sharing of real-time information, facilitating quicker reaction times and more accurate decision-making.
In order to optimise multi-service operations and give commanders access to a thorough, real-time picture of the battlefield, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and satellite communication technology is essential. Because of this technological integration, troops may act more precisely, nimbly, and cooperatively, which increases the joint forces’ ability to adjust to the changing character of conflict.
Commitment to Defence Posture
The drill demonstrates India’s will to keep a strong and flexible military posture along its eastern border, particularly in view of changing regional conditions. The Indian Armed Forces are strengthening their capacity to carry out smooth, multi-domain operations on land, in the air, and at sea by carrying out Ex Poorvi Prahar, which strengthens India’s strategic deterrence capabilities.
To remain at the forefront of military performance and guarantee the country’s preparedness to handle future security challenges, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force keep working together and innovating.
