On an official visit to Vietnam, Lieutenant General N.S. Raja Subramani, the Vice Chief of Army Staff

From December 19 to 21, 2024, Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, the Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS), will be in Vietnam for a three-day official visit. The purpose of this visit is to promote bilateral cooperation and deepen India-Vietnam defense ties.

The VCOAS began his visit by seeing the India Pavilion and other exhibits at the Vietnam International Defence Expo (VIDE), which highlights India’s advancements in defense innovation and technology. He also saw Vietnam’s rich cultural and historical legacy at the Temple of Literature and the Military History Museum in Hanoi. He also had a meeting with India’s ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Sandeep Arya, during this period to talk about issues of cooperation and shared interest.

The VCOAS took part in the Vietnam People’s Army’s 80th anniversary celebrations at the National Convention Center today, the second day of the tour. Lieutenant General Subramani will place a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum as a sign of respect on the last day of the visit.

This visit emphasizes the common commitment to regional peace and security as well as the solid and long-lasting defense relationship between Vietnam and India.
