Commencing on March 10, 2025, the 12th iteration of the India–Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise KHANJAR-XII came to an end today in Tokmok. In order to improve interoperability, high-altitude fighting capabilities, and counterterrorism strategies, elite soldiers from the Kyrgyz Scorpion Brigade and India’s Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) took part in this rigorous training session.

Both contingents rehearsed sophisticated operations like mountain craft, intricate building intervention, sniping, and specialized counterterrorism training during the exercise. The Nowruz festival, a cultural milestone that drew staff from both countries closer together and promoted understanding and strengthened bilateral ties, was one of the highlights of KHANJAR-XII.

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Defense presented two Indian servicemen with medals for their outstanding work during the official conclusion ceremony, and two more were given Certificates of Appreciation for their high professional standards. Senior defense force officials from both countries as well as other friendly countries attended the occasion, highlighting KHANJAR-XII’s strategic importance in promoting regional stability and defense cooperation.

Additionally, a thorough debriefing was planned, which gave participants the chance to review the lessons gained and consider potential future collaborations. India and Kyrgyzstan’s dedication to enhancing their defense cooperation and advancing regional peace, stability, and security is reaffirmed by the successful completion of KHANJAR-XII.
