The exercise will take place between December 1st and December 8th, 2024. Twenty soldiers will make up the Cambodian Army contribution, and twenty soldiers from an infantry brigade will make up the Indian Army component as well.

Work out In accordance with Chapter VII of the UN Charter, CINBAX is a planning exercise designed to simulate the execution of cooperative Counter Terrorism (CT) operations. In addition to planning operations in a CT environment, the exercise will concentrate on discussions for the creation of a Joint Training Task Force for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance.

The use of force multipliers in subconventional operations will also be examined, and several scenarios will be war-gamed. Information operations, cyberwarfare, hybrid warfare, logistics and casualty management, HADR operations, and other topics will also be covered throughout the exercise.

There will be three stages to the activity. Participants’ orientation and preparation for CT operations during UN peacekeeping missions will be the main emphasis of Phase I. Tabletop exercises will be conducted in Phase II, while plan finalisation and summarisation will take place in Phase III. Through situation-based discussions and tactical exercises, this will highlight the practical aspects of theme-based training and seek to help the participants understand the methods.

Additionally, the exercise would highlight Indian-made weaponry and equipment that promote “Atmanirbharta” and domestic military production capabilities. Building trust, fostering camaraderie, and reaching the necessary level of interoperability between troops from both sides will be the main goals of the first edition of Exercise CINBAX. Additionally, it will improve both Armies’ combined operational effectiveness when conducting peacekeeping missions.
