For hot and cold climates, DRDO created the “HIMKAVACH” multi-layer clothing system

INN/New Delhi, @Infodeaofficial

The “HIMKAVACH” multi-layer clothing system, created by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and intended for temperatures ranging from +20°C to -60°C, has passed all user testing and is already in use.

Military operations in the Himalayan region’s frigid climate will greatly benefit from the clothing system. This system was built by the Defence Institute of Physiology & Allied Sciences (DIPAS) DRDO using the insulation needed (IREQ) approach. It possesses the necessary toughness for military application, adaptability, and all-weather operation characteristics.

To increase soldiers’ operational effectiveness in both micro and macro contexts, the Defence Institute of Physiology & Allied Sciences (DIPAS) conducts research in the areas of physiology, biochemistry, and nutrition. An efficient man-machine interface is achieved through human engineering and physiological adaptability to environmental stress.
