INN/New Delhi, @Infodeaofficial
On October 12, INS Tir and ICGS Veera of First Training Squadron (1TS) landed at the Port of Manama, Bahrain, as part of their ongoing Long Range Training Deployment in the Persian Gulf. The Royal Bahrain Naval Forces (RBNF) and the Indian Navy will collaborate on a range of maritime operations and best shared practices, with the goal of strengthening naval cooperation and boosting interoperability.
During the port call, there will be organised social events, community welfare initiatives, band performances, friendly sporting matches, collaborative training sessions, yoga sessions, professional meetings, and cross-ship visits. The Indian Navy’s maritime trainees will tour a number of RBNF sites and training facilities.
It is also planned for the operational teams of both Navies to coordinate in order to design and carry out a Maritime Partnership Exercise. Reiterating marine security in the area and engaging in training interactions with CMF partners as part of cooperative engagement will also be aspects of the visit.
INS Shardul of 1TS made a port visit to Port Rashid, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The UAE Navy personnel and the Defence Attaché at the Indian Embassy received the ship. The ship will interact with the UAE Navy in the harbour and participate in various training exercises while it is there.
In addition to exposing the sea trainees to a variety of naval training exercises, the deployment of 1TS to Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates aims to strengthen the military, sociopolitical, and marine connections. The visit shows how India’s defence ties with Bahrain and the UAE are strengthening, and it also fosters improved collaboration in maritime security and increased coordination among the Navies.
