CISF receives the first women’s battalion

MHA authorised the creation of the first all-female CISF battalion in a historic decision intended to empower women and strengthen their contribution to national security.
Women who want to serve their country have historically chosen the Central Armed Police Force (CISF), which currently makes up more than 7% of the force. More aspirational young women nationwide would be inspired to enlist in the CISF and serve their country by the addition of a Mahila battalion. Women in CISF will have a new identity as a result.
The CISF headquarters have begun preparing for the early hiring, training, and site selection of the new battalion’s headquarters. The purpose of the specially created training is to produce an elite battalion that can serve in a variety of capacities as commandos in airport security, Delhi Metro Rail security, and VIP security.
On the occasion of the 53rd CISF Day ceremony, the Hon. Union Home Minister directed the idea to create all-female battalions within the Force.
