CG(E) commander meets TN Edu Min

Inspector General S. Paramesh, commander, Coast Guard (eastern region) met Tamilnadu Education Minister K.A.Sengottaiyan on 3 October.

Sources in the Defence Ministry said the visit was a courtesy call. Inspector General Paramesh briefed the Minister about several facets of Indian Coast Guard and services being rendered to Tamilnadu.

Minister Sengottaiyan also praised Coast Guard’s humanitarian role in the Tamilnadu coastal districts during natural calamities and assured to extend support from the State government.

Discussions were focused to improve upon the education system in the coastal villages and mutual cooperation towards further enhancement. Education Minister assured support from Tamilnadu Government with regards to organising various education activities.
