ARRIVAL IN TALWAR IN LA RÉUNION, FRANCE
INN/New Delhi, @Infodeaofficial
As part of her continuous deployment in the Indian Ocean Region, the Indian Navy’s leading stealth frigate, INS Talwar, docked in La Réunion on October 27. Strengthening India-France cooperation to address regional marine security issues is the goal of the trip to La Reunion.
During the port visit, the ship will interact with the French Navy and make cross-deck visits. Pravasi Bharatiya has previously allowed visitors to view the ship on October 27. India and France have a long history of goodwill and a strong, long-lasting strategic alliance.
The Indian Navy’s Western Fleet, which is under the Western Naval Command, includes the INS Talwar, which was put into service on June 18, 2003. Captain Jithu George is now in command of the ship. The ship had just taken part in the multinational exercise known as IBSAMAR VIII, which was conducted in South Africa.
