AMBALA, HARYANA: INDIA-VIETNAM COLLABORATE MILITARY EXERCISE VINBAX 2024 BEGINS

Today in Ambala, the 5th Vietnam Indian Bilateral Army Exercise, or “VINBAX 2024,” got underway. The drill is planned to take place at Ambala and Chandimandir from November 4–23, 2024.

The exercise is a significant step in fortifying India-Vietnam relations and is a follow-up to a bilateral exercise that was previously held in Vietnam in 2023. With Army and Air Force soldiers from both nations participating at the Bi Service level for the first time, this edition represents a major expansion in scale.

A Corps of Engineers regiment, together with members from other arms and services, is representing the 47-person Indian Army delegation. The Vietnam People’s Army will represent the Vietnamese contingent, which is of comparable strength.
