A record-breaking IAF air show took place at Marina Beach in Chennai.

On Sunday, the Indian Air Force celebrated its 92nd anniversary at Marina Beach with an amazing air show that had everyone in Chennai believing that the sky was definitely the limit. The amazing lineup of 72 aircraft, which included the ancient Dakota, the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand, the Rafale, the Sukhoi Su-30MKI, and Tejas, was on display during the ceremony, which got underway at 11 am. Attracting an unparalleled attendance of more than 13 lakh individuals, the air show secured a place in the Limca Book of Records as the event with the greatest audience ever.
The show’s high point came when the Sukhoi Su-30MKI executed its famous “Loop-tumble-yaw” manoeuvre while firing off brilliant flares. Another amazing show was given by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team, who enthralled the audience with their coordinated aerobatics. The crowd cheered when the nation’s pride, the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas and the LCH Prachand, which are made in India, displayed their cutting-edge capabilities. This spectacular outdoor show, with the theme Saksham, Sashakta, Atmanirbhar, was held in Chennai after a 21-year hiatus, showcasing India’s independence and military might.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Chief Minister MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu, and Chennai Mayor R Priya were among the high-ranking officials in attendance to witness the aerial prowess. The air display served as a memorial to the IAF’s history. Established on October 8, 1932, the IAF has grown to be a vital component of the country’s armed forces.
With more than 6,500 police officers and 1,500 home guards stationed throughout the event, security was heightened. In addition to showcasing the IAF’s might and accuracy, the occasion united Chennai in a celebration that will go down in history as a significant occasion.
