Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government has put strict precautions in place to guarantee that the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025 is secure and free from fire occurrences. To put the safety of the institutions and devotees taking part in the major event first, a number of rules and regulations have been implemented.
In light of previous events, the government has outright prohibited the use of unapproved electrical devices in Kalpvasis tents, including heaters, blowers, and immersion rods. By taking these precautions, the chance of a fire is reduced and everyone who attends can feel safe.
To minimise fire occurrences during Mahakumbh 2025, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has issued stringent recommendations about power use. The Mahakumbh Superintending Engineer, Manoj Gupta, stated that equipment such as immersion rods, blowers, and heaters are strictly prohibited during the event. This decision was made in response to previous events in which short circuits induced by such devices were responsible for the majority of fires.
It is also highly forbidden to use illicit connections, such hooking cables, according to Executive Engineer Anoop Sinha. Institutions that tamper with electrical wiring will be held entirely accountable for any ensuing fire events, and violators will face severe consequences. These groups might also be prohibited in the future.
Institutions are required to make sure that their wiring satisfies safety regulations. Conduit pipes and MCBs must be used, and after finishing their wiring, organisations must get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Electrical Safety Department.
The goal of the government’s actions is to ensure that Mahakumbh 2025 is a totally safe and fire-free occasion. Millions of devotees will be able to attend this spiritual event worry-free thanks to the event’s stringent safety regulations.
