The Ramadan celebrations in Dubai combine modern spectacle with tradition

During this holy month, Dubai’s Ramadan celebrations have turned the city into a festival that skillfully blends traditional customs with modern flair, fostering a sense of harmony and happiness. After sunset, iconic sites are illuminated with intricate details, creating a mystical ambiance. The emirate’s joyful atmosphere is further enhanced by the traditional lanterns, crescent moons, and star designs that adorn buildings and public areas.
Beautiful Ramadan-themed decorations are currently on display at well-known locations like Zabeel Park and Souk Al Bahar. Under the stars, guests are taking in live performances, interactive activities, and traditional storytelling from Hakawati artists.
The Sheikh Hamdan Colony in Karama has transformed into a culinary haven during the unique Ramadan Food Festival. Live music and cultural performances accompany the unique dishes served at more than 55 restaurants, which range from international favorites to local Emirati specialties.
‘Hai Ramadan’ is being held at Al Wasl Plaza in Expo City Dubai till March 30th. Children’s workshops and storytelling sessions are among the immersive cultural activities offered at this event. There are numerous Iftar and Suhoor alternatives available to guests in the common spaces beneath the famous dome.
