NEET UG 2024 PATNA QUESTION PAPER THEFT CBI FILES FIFTH CHARGE SHEET
There have been five accused and forty-five accused charged in the case thus far

Today, November 22, 2024, the Central Bureau of Investigation submitted its fifth chargesheet against five defendants in the NEET UG 2024 question paper theft case before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge for CBI in Patna. Sections 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy), 109 (Abetment), 409 (Criminal Breach of Trust), 420 (Cheating), 380 (Theft), 201 (Causing Disappearance of Evidence), and 411 (Dishonestly Receiving Stolen Property) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018) are among the sections of the Indian Penal Code under which the charge sheet has been filed.
Amit Kumar Singh R/o. Dhanbad (JH), Sudip Kumar R/o. Bokaro, Yuvraj Kumar R/o. Bokaro, Abhimanyu Patel R/o. Nalanda, and Amit Kumar R/o. Patna are the five accused people charged in the chargesheet. As a result, 45 people have been charged in this case, and they are all still being held in court.
On August 1, 2024, September 19, 2024, October 5, 2024, and November 7, 2024, the CBI previously submitted four charge sheets against 40 other defendants. On June 23, 2024, the CBI assumed responsibility for the investigation of Crime No. 358/2024 from the Shastri Nagar Police Station in Patna. The names of the MBBS students who solved the stolen paper or who took the test as imposters, as well as the names of the applicants who benefited from unfair means or paper theft, have already been identified and provided to the Ministry of Education and NTA.
