Virasat 2025 Concludes at IIT Jodhpur with a Grand Celebration of India’s Cultural Heritage

The week-long festival, held from February 12 to February 16, 2025, featured a stellar lineup of legendary artists and performers, offering an immersive experience for art and music enthusiasts.
The festival commenced with an inspiring speech by Dr. Kiran Seth, the esteemed founder of SPIC MACAY. In his address, Dr. Seth emphasized the profound impact of classical arts and music on personal and professional excellence, highlighting their role in fostering inner peace, discipline, and harmony. His thought-provoking words resonated deeply with the audience, setting the stage for the mesmerizing performances that followed.
Spectacular Lineup of Renowned Artists
Over the course of the festival, audiences witnessed breathtaking performances by some of the most revered artists in Indian classical music and dance:
- Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar (Hindustani Vocal): Enthralled listeners with his soulful renditions, showcasing the intricate nuances of Hindustani classical music.
- Aruna Mohanty (Odissi Dance): Mesmerized the audience with her graceful movements and expressive storytelling, bringing to life the elegance of the Odissi dance form.
- Vidwan D. Balakrishna (Carnatic Veena): Displayed the brilliance of the Carnatic tradition through his mastery over the veena, leaving the audience spellbound.
