SWAYAM Plus and IIT Madras Pravartak collaborate to develop a skill-based training program for engineering and science students.

The last day to register for this 11-day training program, which will focus on the semiconductor industry and give placement assistance, is October 3, 2024, and it will be delivered in person at IIT Madras

With SWAYAM Plus, the IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation is launching a new program to provide science and engineering students with an electronics background with industry-ready technical capabilities. For those students who succeed in the program, placement aid will be offered. Students who are ready for industry-ready skills will be chosen by Pravartak for the training program. The training course will be held on the campus of IIT Madras.

The training course runs from October 7, 2024, until October 18, 2024. The application deadline is October 3, 2024. Through the following URL, those who are interested can register: https://iitmpravartak.org.in/advanced_electronic_mfg Prof. R. Sarathi, Dean of Planning at IIT Madras, emphasised the significance of this project by stating, “We are committed to imparting skilling for upcoming graduates to enable them for jobs.” The goal of this program is to give participants a thorough training experience that will enable them to perform with extraordinary proficiency in the semiconductor sector. The goal of this program is to provide participants with the abilities, know-how, and resources needed to effectively and efficiently manage a variety of technical and customer support problems.

An innovation hub for technology centred around sensors, networking, actuators, and control systems is housed within the Section 8 company IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation. It is hosted by IIT Madras and supported by the Indian government’s Department of Science and Technology as part of its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems.

Highlights of the Program:

Curriculum that is relevant to the industry: Created in partnership with top industry professionals, it provides practical instruction on the newest technologies and procedures in the production of electronics.

Placement Support: To help final-year students find employment, CEC IIT Madras will link them with prestigious electronics manufacturing firms.

Bridging the Skill Gap: This course will equip students with the knowledge and abilities needed to fulfil the industry’s increasing need for skilled workers in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) sector.
