Rain of jobs at SRMIST, record placement witnessed

It has been a rain of jobs at SRM Institute of Technology (SRMIST). The day one process witnessed four major IT companies making a record 4,749 offers on its premises.
The students who received the offers were from graduation class of 2020. The happy news does not end there for SRMIST. The number of offers received this time was more than what was received last time.
Sources from SRMIST say the 2019 graduates received 3020 offers while the 2020 graduates received 4,749 offers. Giving the breakup this time, TCS (Ninja) has made 1437 offers, Infosys made 1315, CTS made 1175 and Wipro made 822. Apart from this, TCS has made 183 offers under ‘Digital Track’ (7 lakhs per annum), said Director, Career Centre at SRMIST, Sriram Padmanabhan.
For all these day one companies, the highest number of offers at an All India level have been made in the SRMIST campus than any other campus.
This year, the highest offer made on the campus, was 41.6 lakhs per annum by Microsoft. More than 120 companies have visited the campus this year since the commencement of the placement season on July 22 and have made close to 6000 offers as on date.
Top recruiters this year include Amazon (18 offers of 32 lakhs per annum), Barclays (25 offers of 10 lakhs per annum) and startup Udaan (4 offers of 30 lakhs per annum. Besides, organizations like Veritas and Pay Pal have made internship offers whereby selected students would work in the companies during the final semester with a good chance of bagging offers.
